8th Balloon Meeting at Eglofs

Meanwhile, it's almost a tradition for us to drive to the Allgaeu on the first weekend of May, to take part in the Eglofs Balloon Meeting. This year, Matthias had the chance to borrow Jens Endler's ADAC balloon - many thanks for that Jens ;-)

As the forecat had predicted rain for the weekend, Matthias quickly decided to arrive one day earlier - so he was able to fly on Thursday evening and Friday morning already. Werner, Bärbel and Maria, who arrived on Friday afternoon, luckily had the chance to take part in the last flight on Friday evening. Then, the rain came - just in time for the planned model balloon night glow on the market place of Eglofs, which had due to be cancelled.

So, for the rest of the weekend, alternative activities were taken, which were - with an interesting visit to the Zeppelin hangar at Friedrichshafen and a historic guided tour through Eglofs - at least as much fun as the flying.
