Youth Camp of the Balloon Club of Stuttgart

For the third time in a row, the popular Whitsun Youth Camp of the Balloon Club of Stuttgart took place in Lützelburg near Augsburg. About 30 kids had come to the event. Unfortunately, the bad spring weather 2006 continued here: All the balloons had to stay in their trailers.

At the beginning of the camp on Thursday, we had to secure the supply of firewood first :-)

A short time between two rain showers was long enough to put up the model balloons.

A rare sight for the girls: Young men doing the dishwashing duty in the camp! ;-)

The breakfast on Friday consisted of... well, only this kid can tell!

The popular swimming pool 'TITANIA' also was a destination this year.

As the weather didn't clear up on Saturday, we took the cars and went to the Bavaria Movie Studios south of Munich.

Apart from visiting a stunt show, we also took a tour through the studios and movie sceneries. And we were even allowed to re-enact some scenes from Bully Herbig's "Traumschiff Surprise" in the original settings.

"Meiomeiomei:" Matthias gets stage directions for the first scene.

"No, I want to sit at the window!" Ben, Franzi and Timo in the original Space Taxi.

Just at the end of the camp on Sunday, the bad weather reached its climax. In the pouring rain, we had to take down the tents.

The participants of the 34th Whitsun Youth Camp, still in a fine mood!

And one good thing even this bad weather has: It can only get better next year! :-)
